I'm a little biased this week because I have known this tech guy for a very long time. Kinda like his entire life...lol
Let's hear from one of my favorites and the last of our tech Male Perspective gentlemen.
This week allow me to introduce you to Terrell Middleton.
Terrell, tell us about yourself and what you do.
I am an IT Manager for a retail distribution center.
What’s your professional background, and how did you get into your current career?
My background consists of being a technology consultant with experience in installing data networks in retail stores.
What do you like best about your current position?
I have the ability to manage my day to day tasks without question.
What is the best career advice you have received?
Take time off to be with my family. My job role can be replaced, but my family cannot replace me.
What has been your experience with working with/for women in tech?
I have had the pleasure of working side by side with women in technology. Those experiences have created lifelong friends even after we no longer work together.
What advice would you give women about a tech career?
Do not quit or get discouraged. Some people are idiots and others are easily intimidated by intelligent women. They will be ok just keep pursuing your goal.
Tell us one really cool or unique thing about you.
My happiest times come from seeing others happy.
What I know for certain about Terrell is that he does not waste words.
Thanks for sharing and keep trailblazing!
As we get ready to enter the holidays, I am going to take a little pause and highlight some of the most popular blogs of the year. Plus, I need a little reset.
Stay tuned for some interesting topics to come: Tech and the Caregiver, What About My Hair?, and some millennial tech insights. We may even have some holidays surprises.
Thanks for rocking with me and keep sending positive vibes my way.
