I have never been a big Halloween person since I became an adult. My daughter and I used to binge watch Scooby Doo movies and eat junk food as our at home Halloween celebration when she was a child.
This year I will be disguised in a role that I never saw coming. I am now a caretaker for my mother, so my humor has it titled "From CIO to CNA"...lol
I have been helping my mother get better from severe anemia since October 4th and now we are officially roomies.
After 17 days in the hospital, I have paid attention to everything technical and what could actually use a little tech assistance. From my surprise to see doctors and nurses still using beepers to the ability to control everything in the room from a remote control looking device. It was all stressful and fascinating at the same time.
I have installed and uninstalled every self-care app known to man. I love the concepts, but I don't want to pay for it. WiFi was a life saver so that I could interview and job search. I just wish there were some technical memory foam mattress, because that hospital sofa and chair are indeed prehistoric.
Wish me luck with my new caregiver costume and hopefully things return to normal soon.
Coming in November I have a few of my male tech friends and family to share about their tech careers. Guys certainly have an interesting perspective. I hope you check them out.
This Tech Tea is an evening edition because there is a lot going on, so tell me all about your night time tea selection. I happen to enjoy Peppermint Tea.
Kim, just catching up on your blog. Wishing you the best in caring for your mom. She is so blessed to have you.
